Chamberlain introduces the LiftMaster Model 3800 Residential Jackshaft Opener designed for garages with unique applications that aren’t compatible with traditional garage door openers, such as garages with very low, cathedral or obstructed ceilings.  

The opener features an ultra-quiet 24V DC motor and is designed to be mounted on the wall beside the garage door, freeing up valuable storage space. The 3800 is compatible with sectional doors up to 14-feet high. In addition, the model 3800 is UL325 approved and meets all UL325 requirements.

For added security and convenience, a cable tension monitor is designed to maintain accurate tension and eliminate “cable throw,” which occurs when the cable slips off the drum. This ensures dependable performance and virtually eliminates unnecessary service calls. The PowerLock securely locks the door in place when the garage door is fully closed, ensuring the door cannot be forced open.

Additional installation features include push button limit settings and automatic force sensing that allows for faster set up, and continually monitors the garage door system and adjusts forces to temperature fluctuations, floor height and door track movement. Quick-Connect™ terminals allow for push-in wiring for quicker installation, and a 6-foot power cord makes connecting to a power source easy and accessible. The model 3800 mounts to the wall on either side of the door, and attaches to the torsion bar; there are no rails to hang.
