Chamberlain Professional Products introduces the new LA400 linear gate operator from LiftMaster. This new linear gate operator is the latest addition to the DC gate operator line available from LiftMaster and is ideal for installers who need a product that will work in a variety of applications, including residential, rural, and solar.
The powerful 24V DC motor is designed for exceptional durability and will operate gates up to 15-feet wide and weighing up to 550 pounds. In addition, an alarm-reset button has been added to the outside of the control box. This button resets the alarm in the event of a double-entrapment without having to remove the cover.
The LA400 also includes an on-board Chamberlain Security+® radio receiver that has an external antenna, an external alarm reset button, and an extended wiring kit on all dual gate operator packages. The radio receiver is compatible with all LiftMaster Garage Door Openers.
“The LA400 is an exciting new addition to our LiftMaster line of DC gate operators” said Ken Roehl, vice president, marketing, Chamberlain Professional Products. “It’s durable and easier than other linear actuators to install, and it’s a great value for the customer.”
Installation of the LA400 is quick and easy. It can be mounted to round or square posts, steel or wood, and uses welded or bolted mounting hardware. Wiring is also easier with color-coded circuit board connections. Setting the limits is easy by pushing buttons on the control board which eliminates the need to adjust or move limit switches. The solar panel kit is available for installations where the power source is not located near the gate.
The LA400 comes with a convenient manual release that replaces the usual pin to pull, and a battery back up system that will keep the unit functioning up to100 cycles in the event of a power outage. In addition, it has input/output terminals for accessories including loops and photo eyes. It meets UL325 requirements, is UL listed and is available in single or dual gate operator packages. |
