Due to enormous demand from customers, Chamberlain’s Training Academy announces the development of two new initiatives to further its success as an industry leader in product and safety training. The Chamberlain Training Academy is a dedicated teaching facility that instructs both novice and experienced technicians about installing and troubleshooting Chamberlain Professional Products.

The first initiative to further the Training Academy’s success is the addition of more regional seminars with emphasis on new product and train-the-trainer programs for distributors and dealers.

The second initiative is to bridge the gap between the training provided to Chamberlain’s customers and the telephone agents who support their customers. This synergy will allow Chamberlain to provide consistently updated information and unparalleled support to their customers.

In addition, Chamberlain has made key personnel changes to enhance these initiatives and the program.

Bill McCoy has been promoted from Training Academy manager to regional seminar trainer. McCoy managed the launch of the Training Academy and will now be responsible for formalizing the regional seminar training requests and programs. He will also serve as an ad-hoc professor at the Training Academy when he is not traveling.

Edward Cam has been promoted to the position of Training Academy manager and will take responsibility for all Training Academy activities including customer and telephone agent training.

Cam joined the Training Academy at the start of 2005 as an instructor for professional products. Since then, Cam has assisted with the development of the Training Academy’s programs and continued success. He has also begun work with the call center management team on development of a new hire commercial products training program.

Cam has more than seven years experience in professional teaching environments, holds an associate’s degree in Computer Systems Programming, a bachelor’s degree in electronics engineering, and an MBA in industrial administration.

The Chamberlain Group, Inc. manufactures and markets residential garage door openers, commercial door operators, residential and commercial gate operators, telephone entry systems and related access control products.
