The Chamberlain Group, Inc. has made several enhancements to their LiftMaster models SL570, SL580, and SL590 heavy-duty slide gate operators.
The enhancements are designed to offer greater simplicity during installation and ease of retrofitting applications. The enhanced models, SL575, SL585, and SL595 will replace the existing line. All operators come standard with a built in radio receiver for use with DIP switch and Security+® remote controls.
New features for the entire line include a larger control box for easier access to major components with improved terminal strip labeling for easier, time saving installation. In addition, an integrated three-button control station features open/close/stop buttons that speed installation and troubleshooting by eliminating the need for additional wiring to set the open and close limits for the gate.
Upgraded features exclusive to the SL575 and SL585 models include a Large Accessory Tray that provides a convenient location to mount various accessories as well as knockouts for running power and control wiring. Also exclusive to the SL575 and SL585 is a Universal Footprint to simplify retrofit applications by adapting pre-existing mounting pads. In addition, the lockable External Manual Disconnect allows the gate to be opened in the event of a power loss and without removing the cover.
The 575 is a heavy-duty chain drive slide gate operator that supports gates up to 50 feet in length weighing up to 1800 pounds. The 585 gear drive operator will handle gates that as large as 75 feet long and weighing up to 1900 pounds. Both the 575 and 585 feature powdercoated weather steel enclosure with a high-starting torque motor. The motor is equipped with built-in overload protection for durability. The 595 operator is an extreme heavy-duty operator designed for industrial applications and should be used on gates that are up to 90 feet long and weigh up to 2,500 pounds. All three operators are UL325 compliant for Class I, II, III and IV.
