Chamberlain® Professional Products introduces Medium-Duty Logic, an innovative, easy to program operator system for medium use commercial door applications that provides professional door dealers with the ability to offer customers the broadest and deepest line of wireless, state-of-the-art commercial door operators available.
Most Medium-Duty operators in use today are primarily mechanical, i.e., relay-based, in design, yet the new LiftMaster® offering utilizes an integrated, printed circuit board (PCB) to replace the mechanical relays with a much cleaner and more reliable design. The newly enhanced Medium-Duty Logic operators add a built-in radio receiver and a timer-to-close function (TTC), and an integral maximum run timer of 90 seconds to LiftMaster's current mechanical offering, expanding the dealer's portfolio while providing an ideal access solution with the industry's most advanced features for medium use commercial doors.
"Built on the recent success of the LiftMaster Logic 3.0 standard and heavy-duty commercial door operators, we wanted to continue to provide solutions for the commercial segment with easy to program, high-quality and technically superior Medium-Duty operators," states Dan Dombkowski, marketing manager of commercial door operators, Chamberlain Professional Products. "Due to the ease of programmability, wireless capabilities and built-in features, the Medium-Duty Logic operators can also serve to benefit the professional dealer as well as meet and exceed the needs of the customer."
Compatible with all Chamberlain wireless products, Medium-Duty Logic operators are equipped with a built-in radio receiver which can be programmed to as many as 20 Chamberlain 315 MHz Security+® single-button transmitters, or unlimited DIP switch remote transmitters.
The operators are also compatible with 3-button transmitters for open, close and stop operation. Outfitted with a timer-to-close feature, the Medium-Duty Logic system enables the network of authorized LiftMaster professionals to offer a customizable and programmable delay from five to 60 seconds prior to door closure, in conjunction with Chamberlain's Commercial Protection® System photoelectric safety sensors.
"With a Medium-Duty Logic operator, dealers also have an opportunity to recommend transmitters and wireless safety and control accessories with each install as a way to further grow business while bringing added convenience and accessibility to their customers," continued Dombkowski.
Rated for up to 12 cycles per hour/50 per day, Medium-Duty Logic operators are UL-325 compliant and come standard with high-starting torque motors, monitored entrapment capability and enhanced surge protection.
